How to Create Your First Lovescape AI Character in 2026

To create a Lovescape character, register or sign in, choose the custom AI character flow, set an adult fictional identity, appearance, preferences and conversation style, then review the profile before chatting. Check visibility before sharing and test one harmless exchange. Creation does not require buying Chips, but later media or plan features may have separate costs.

Before you begin: make a fictional brief

Use this workflow only if you are an adult and can use your own account and device.

Write a one-sentence purpose, such as an original book-club character. Add two traits, one boundary and a reply length. Fictional details make the first test repeatable without storing a real partner's image or private conversations.

Have a working email or sign-in method, but do not paste passwords, recovery codes or payment data into the character description. This guide is based on Lovescape's public help articles checked September 30, 2026; we did not create a paid account or test private controls. Its help center labels the service 18+.

Step 1: sign in through the official site

Open the provider's own site and complete account setup before creating a character.

The official creation guide describes registration with Google, X or email and an email-confirmation step. Use the option you can recover later, and confirm the destination address before entering credentials.

Expected result: you can reach your own signed-in home screen. If a search advertisement opens a different domain or an unfamiliar app asks for your password, stop. Do not add a payment method merely to solve a failed login; account access and paid entitlement are separate checks.

Step 2: choose the custom character flow

Select Create AI Friend or use Characters and Create New, then choose Create AI Character.

The provider also offers Create AI Version of You. That is a separate privacy decision; use the fictional custom-character option here. Do not upload your likeness or another person's identity just to try the creator. If labels change, follow the official guide.

Expected result: you reach a creation form rather than a purchase page. If an option is locked, record what the interface says and check the current plan description. Do not assume that buying Chips will unlock a feature that the selected tier does not include.

Step 3: set adult identity and appearance without a real-person copy

Start with the smallest set of fictional attributes that will make the character recognizable.

The creation guide lists gender, realistic or anime style, age and visual attributes. Choose a fictional adult name and appearance. A preview does not prove later images will be consistent. Avoid a real person's likeness unless current provider rules permit it.

Expected result: you can describe the character in one sentence and recognize it in the preview. If a setting produces an unwanted look, revise it before finalizing. You do not need to keep generating images to complete the basic chat setup; repeated media actions can add cost.

Step 4: define personality, preferences and one clear boundary

Make the character's behavior testable instead of adding a long, contradictory biography.

Lovescape's guide describes preferences, likes, boundaries, personality, role, attitude, interaction intensity and relationship type. A useful fictional brief might say: curious, calm, interested in books, asks one question at a time, avoids claiming to know facts it has not checked. Pick only the controls shown in your interface; do not invent a hidden setting when a field is absent.

Expected result: the selected traits support the same conversation goal. If the options conflict, remove the least important ones and try again. A setting is an instruction to the system, not a guarantee that every reply will follow it.

Step 5: choose a reply style and review before creating

Select a message length and voice only if you expect to use them, then read the summary before confirmation.

The provider's documented creation flow includes a voice choice and short, medium or long messages. These are preferences, not evidence of voice-call access or included audio minutes. Review the name, adult age, character details and boundary. The guide identifies Bring My Character to Life as the final creation command; check the current screen before accepting it.

Expected result: you land on a character profile. If the form presents a charge or tier prompt, pause and inspect the exact offer. The Chip help explains separate consumption for some media actions; it does not mean you must buy Chips to create this first fictional character.

Step 6: check the profile and visibility before sharing

Open your created profile and decide whether it should be discoverable before copying any link.

The official profile guide documents Characters, My Characters, then the profile. It also says sharing depends on whether a character is public. Inspect the current visibility control and any public bio or generated image. Do not assume an unshared link is private, or that publishing can be fully undone after others see it.

Expected result: you know what someone else could see and choose not to share if unsure. A logged-out view can help, but avoid publishing a character solely to run that test. The FTC's privacy guidance is a reminder to check data-sharing and browser permissions before adding personal details.

Step 7: run one harmless chat and adjust only what failed

Use a short fictional prompt to check tone and boundaries before judging the character.

From the profile, use the documented chat control. Try: 'We are planning a fictional book club. Suggest one opening question, then wait.' Check whether the response is on-topic, within the chosen length and respectful of the boundary. Record the exact difference between what you specified and what happened, without submitting private conversations as test material.

Expected result: one observable behavior, not proof of long-term memory. The profile guide documents Edit Profile beside the name. Adjust one attribute and repeat the prompt. Do not use Clear Chat or Delete Character for troubleshooting; both are irreversible.

Finish with a privacy and payment decision

Stop when the fictional character works for a basic chat and the profile's visibility is clear.

Before paying, separately confirm what your selected subscription includes, which media actions use Chips, the final charge and renewal terms, and how you would cancel. The current official Chip page says pricing appears before an image action; inspect your own screen instead of relying on a stale quote. If the character is not useful in basic chat, buying media is unlikely to fix its personality.

If the profile's sharing state, identity handling or cost is unclear, keep it private and contact official support. Compare chat, memory, media, privacy, price and cancellation as different criteria when choosing a service; a polished character preview is only one small part of that decision.

What should you compare next?

Once the answer is clear, use the relevant product reviews to compare fit, memory, media, privacy, price and cancellation terms before visiting a provider.

Sources and review note

These primary sources support the workflow or risk framing. Product features, prices and regional availability should still be checked on the official provider page before payment.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose Create AI Character or Create AI Version of You?

Choose Create AI Character for an original fictional companion. Create AI Version of You is a separate identity and privacy decision, not a required step for this tutorial.

Can I change a Lovescape character after creation?

The official profile guide documents Edit Profile in the menu beside the character name. Check which fields are editable on your current account before assuming every creation choice can be changed.

Does sharing a Lovescape profile link make it visible?

The provider says sharing depends on whether the character is public. Verify its visibility and the public-facing content before copying or sending a profile link.

Will deleting a character also cancel my subscription?

Do not assume so. The profile guide treats character deletion as irreversible content removal; subscription billing must be checked and canceled through its own documented route.
